Sitting in a doctor’s office, Liz Benditt received the news nobody wants: “It’s cancer”.  This report would be hard enough to receive once in a lifetime, however, for Liz, this was her fourth time, proving she was one tough cookie! 

Little did she know that her multiple health setbacks were setting her up for a world-changing idea. Liz survived four cancer diagnoses and went on to create The Balm Box from her challenging experiences and difficulties in cancer recovery. Now she’s the President and CEO of an exploding company that’s changing the lives of many others facing sickness.

About the Guest

Senior marketing professional with 25+ years of professional experience leading corporate brand, PR, social media, direct marketing, database, and loyalty programs. Benditt’s diverse background and work experience span a wide variety of brands, products, and services including Lyric Opera, Ace Hardware, Hallmark, SONIC America’s Drive-In, Blue Bunny Ice Cream, Mattel Toys, Walt Disney World, and Bluetooth.

In addition to teaching undergraduate business marketing courses at the University of Kansas, Benditt is currently President and CEO of Balm Box LLC, a self-care and gifting service for breast cancer patients. She also serves on the Education First Shawnee Mission board of directors and volunteers with National Charity League.
