A small(ish) Technology Company based in San Diego, providing a number of communication-related services from mobile and desktop apps to Voice over IP Business services. Our software enables small businesses to communicate with their customers in an easy and affordable way. We have been around for a few years now, and have high expectations regarding where we are taking the company over the next few years.
The Skinny
The VoIP Traffic & Routing analyst will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining
the overall health of our VoIP network and ensuring any issues that arise are handled in a
prompt, transparent, and repeatable manner.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience within the telecommunications industry
- Experience and Understanding of VoIP Troubleshooting procedures
- Strong analytical skills for review and interpretation of large volumes of telecommunication data
- Planning and organizational skills to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
- An experienced individual with proficiency in Excel as well as Elastic Search and mySQL
- Experience with Wireshark and other telecom-standard technical software
Responsibilities
- Maintaining a healthy VoIP Network through deep analysis of trends and patterns
- Protecting clients, vendors, and VOXOX from fraudulent calls (bad actors and other scams)
- Addressing noncompliant traffic with permanent cures
- Review, analyze, and reconcile large volumes of telecommunication data
- Take action on specific traffic trends to ensure a compliant network
- Suspend problem vendors (for FAS or other quality issues) and handle the vendor communications
- Suspend offending customers (that have fraudulent or scam traffic) and handle the communications on tracebacks with the customer, ITG, and other industry partners
- Maintain and Manage our LCRs
- Analysis of data from multiple tables and platforms
- Review, identify and verify active and non-active assets
- Preparation of detailed summaries for the management and technical teams
